The A10 motorway and the A24 motorway between the motorway triangle (AD Pankow) and the Neuruppin junction (AS) are among the most visited routes in the capital city of Berlin. They will be developed or renewed in less than five years under-run operation to meet the future traffic. The so far four-lane A10 between the triangles Havelland and Pankow is extended to about 30km in length six-lane. This also leaves a bottle neck in the Berlin motorway ring, which in the past has led to many traffic problems.
The four-lane, approx. 30km long section of the A24 between the AS Neuruppin and the AS Kremmen is completely renewed. The side strips are extended to allow for temporary release of part sections in case of need, depending on traffic volume.
The Havelland Autobahn GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for the planning, construction and subsequent operation. The construction started in March 2018 and the planned production date is December 2022.
In the course of the construction work, the reinstallation of cable protection pipes for energy and data cables is carried out in parallel with the motorway. The installation of the PE- HD cable protection tubes is carried out by train, so that careful planning was necessary to ensure compliance with the construction plan.
The choice of the tube material and the presentation was an essential building block in order to realize a quick installation with as few connecting points as possible.
After intensive consultation by the Hundhausen Plaszintechnik GmbH, the customer has decided for PE- HD cable protection tubes on drums. The connection points were thus minimized and the day-to-day installation performance was matched with reserves in the construction planning. In order to avoid the ovalities of the supplied tube DA110 X 6.3mm in SR17.6, the dimensions of the steel drums used were optimized and the production parameters adjusted. The professional storage of the material on the construction site played an important role.
To date, 36.000m of the tube in the DA110 X 10.0mm, 58.000m of the tube in the DA110 X 6.3mm of the steel drums á 400m and 90.000m of the tube in the dimension 50 X 4.6mm of the steel drums á 2.500m have been delivered.
The early integration and then close project support are the key to the successful implementation of the construction. Hundhausen Plaszintechnik GmbH was able to contribute over 50 years of experience in the processing of plastics and to contribute a part to the success.
